The African Footballer of the Year will emerge at 25th edition of the annual Confederation of African Football, CAF Awards and the Awards Gala holding in Abuja this evening.
The year’s King of African Football will be crowned from among the trio of last year’s winner, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon, Riyad Mahrez of Algeria and Senegalese Sadio Mane.
Four Nigerians are hopeful of winning in their categories.
They are Super Falcons coach, Florence Omagbemi, for National Coach of the Year category and Super Falcons and Arsenal Ladies striker, Asisat Oshoala, is in the Women's Player of the Year category.
Super Eagles and Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho is in the Most Promising Talent category while Arsenal striker, Alex Iwobi is listed in the Youth Player of the Year Category.
