APC warns members against disrespecting National Assembly

Written by  Mar 27, 2017

The All Progressives Congress, APC has warned its members who are holding public offices, not to disrespect the National Assembly.

This is coming on the heels of the recent face-off between the Senate and the Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali, as well as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Bolaji Abdullahi, gave the warning after a meeting of the party’s National Working Committee, NWC, with the APC caucus in the House of Representatives.

He said the ruling party did not interfere in the matter between the Customs boss and the Senate, because it was not a party affair.

Abdullahi emphasized that the party will not support anybody who disrespects the National Assembly, adding that the disagreement between the two arms of government would soon be resolved.
