Written by  Feb 03, 2017

The Area Command, Nigeria Customs Service of Niger, Kogi and Kwara, has called on stakeholders to support its efforts to effectively tackle the menace of smuggling in the states.

The Comptroller of Customs in the command Garba Kabiru, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Minna today.
He said that support from stakeholders, especially religious leaders and traditional rulers would help the officers to arrest those involved in illegal activities in these states.
Kabiru explained that the religious leaders were expected to preach against the dangers of engaging in smuggling business and the consequences to the nation’s economy.
