FG will address legitimate agitations by ethnic nationalities, says Osinbajo

Written by  Jun 28, 2017

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has promised that the federal government would look into the grievances being articulated by the various ethnic nationalities in the country.

Osinbajo said although the government was aware of those genuine demands, every demand should be expressed with respect for the interest of others.

The acting president said this while giving a summary of his recent consultations with traditional, religious and political rulers and media executive.

He affirmed the need to draw a line between the freedom of expression guaranteed by the Constitution and the degeneration of such expression into prejudice and hatred.

Osinbajo emphasized that the government will not condone or tolerate hate speech in any way or form.
