Nigerians must have a serious talk on agitation, NOA

Written by  Jun 23, 2017

The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Dr. Garba Abari, has urged Nigeria to hold a serious conversation on ethnic agitations across the country.

Abari said this during a meeting with two former DGs of the agency Idi Farouk and Mike Omeri in Abuja, yesterday the 22nd of June.

According to him, such dialogue will help to calm nerves as well as provide a platform for proffering practical solutions that would unite people of different divides.

Abari, who noted that agitations were part of the challenges of nationhood, however, warned that no society can make any meaningful progress without social justice.

The NOA DG emphasized that the time is ripe for government at all levels to engage Nigerians as is currently being done by Acting President Yemi Osinbajo.
