Organized Labour continues strike

Organised labour in Nasarawa State is going on with its strike until the state government pays the three months salaries and meets all their demands.

State Chairmen of Nigeria Labour Congress, Bala Umaru and Trade Union Congress, Danladi Sabo-Namo stated this while addressing workers at the Labour House in Lafia.

Umaru said the leadership of the NLC was not frightened by the state government’s threat to sack all striking workers in the state.

He urged workers to shun rumors, from any quarters, to the effect that the strike had been suspended, adding that they should await further directive from the union leadership.
